“Fatal Crash in Brampton Claims Life of Man in 60s”

A fatal accident occurred in Brampton on Friday involving two vehicles, resulting in the death of a man in his 60s, as reported by the police. Peel Regional Police were called to the junction of Queen Street E. and Delta Park Boulevard just before 1:30 p.m., responding to the collision.

According to Const. Laurie McCann, a tractor-trailer was stationary, preparing to make a left turn onto Delta Park Boulevard when it was rear-ended by another vehicle for reasons unknown. The driver of the second vehicle sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where he later passed away. Both vehicles had a single occupant each, with the tractor-trailer driver escaping unharmed but visibly shaken.

The incident is currently under investigation by Peel police’s major collision bureau. Following the necessary road closures on Queen Street E. and Airport Road, normal traffic flow has been restored, as confirmed by Peel police to CBC Toronto.
