“Seattle Storm Defeat Toronto Tempo 90-78 Led by Johnson’s 20 Points”

The Seattle Storm secured a 90-78 victory against the Toronto Tempo in a game where Flau’jae Johnson led with 20 points, followed by Dominique Malonga with 18 points. Seattle, with a record of 8-31 and having faced a tough stretch with 14 losses in 15 games, also saw Jade Melbourne contribute 16 points and seven assists, while Awa Fam and Zia Cooke each added 10 points to the scoreboard.

Toronto, missing key players Marina Mabrey, Brittney Sykes, and Nyara Sabally due to injuries, relied on rookie Kiki Rice, who delivered a season-best performance with 24 points. Isabelle Harrison also made a significant impact with 17 points and 14 rebounds for the 11-27 Toronto team.

Seattle’s strong performance in the third quarter, closing with an 11-4 run to lead 64-61, set the stage for their victory as they continued with a 9-2 run at the start of the fourth quarter, extending their lead to 10 points.

In their upcoming games, the Toronto Tempo will face Las Vegas on Friday night, while the Seattle Storm will host Los Angeles on Sunday.
