Following his relocation to a new permanent residence, a member of the Royal Family has paid a visit to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor for a private conversation, as per reports.
Prince Edward, the younger brother of the former Prince, is said to be the initial family member to meet with Andrew after his move to Sandringham from Royal Lodge.
Andrew’s transition from Royal Lodge to Marsh Farm in Sandringham came as a response to ongoing damaging revelations regarding his connections with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex trafficker.
Despite Andrew’s denial of any misconduct, the adverse publicity led to his exclusion from the royal circle, with only Prince Edward having visited him so far.
As reported by The Sun, a friend of the royal disclosed that Prince Edward is the sole member of the Royal Family to have met with Andrew, who is currently preparing for the move to Sandringham. The friend mentioned that Andrew was supposed to stay at Wood Farm for Easter, but Prince Edward was present there.
The friend stated: “Prince Edward was the first and only member of the Royal Family to visit. Andrew has been disregarded by everyone since leaving Royal Lodge, including his daughters and ex-wife who have refrained from visiting.”
“Edward has already publicly expressed his concerns for the victims. Although he usually stays at Wood Farm for Easter, his brother’s presence altered his plans.”
Upon reaching out to Buckingham Palace for comments, the Mirror received no response. The Duke of Edinburgh was among the first royals to address the situation concerning his brother, responding to queries during a summit earlier this year.
During an interview at the World Governments Summit in Dubai on February 3, the Duke emphasized the importance of remembering Epstein’s victims, acknowledging the need to prioritize their well-being amidst the unfolding events.
The release of documents by the US Department of Justice earlier this year revealed exchanges between Epstein and Andrew, with one message suggesting an invitation to Buckingham Palace. Andrew has consistently refuted any allegations of misconduct in his association with Epstein.
