Hospitals in Windsor are experiencing delays on Saturday morning due to computer system issues, but they have clarified that it is not due to a cyber security breach. Windsor Regional Hospital and Erie Shores Healthcare both posted alerts on social media regarding the situation.
The delays are a result of a malfunction in the computer system, impacting the processing of patient care services, including diagnostic imaging. The hospitals have requested patience from the public as their IT teams are actively working to resolve the technical issues.
According to Windsor Regional Hospital’s emergency wait times webpage, the average wait times at both the Metropolitan and Ouellette campuses were approximately three hours on Saturday afternoon.
